Lacy and Kyle began dating very shortly before he left for basic training with the National Guard, so their relationship bloomed in an old fashioned and romantic way—she wrote him a letter every day that he was gone. After a vineyard proposal on a surprise trip to North Carolina, they were ready to plan their big day at Pawleys Plantation. The theme was elegant yet Southern, with lots of greenery, gold and ivory. Gold mirrors and frames displayed the guestbook sign, menus and special Bible verses. The bridesmaids wore beige and the flower girls walked down the aisle in adorable floor-length champagne tutus. The gorgeous three-tiered cake featured red velvet, vanilla and chocolate layers. The bride wore her grandmother’s cocktail ring and her bouquet wrap was made from her grandmother’s wedding gown and veil and included a picture of her grandfather as a charm. The couple had a special moment of prayer together between a door before the ceremony.
