Caroline and Jamie met on top of a Cockaboose while celebrating a Gamecock football victory. She fell head over heels for his Southern charm and love of life. The pair dated for seven years, during which he completed law school in Charleston while she finished undergrad at USC. When it came time to propose, Jamie was so anxious to do it that he woke Caroline up early in the morning and got down on one knee. Soon after, her best friends from all over the state and East Coast showed up for a celebratory brunch and pool day. Later that night, her parents hosted a dinner at their house for close family and friends.
The ceremony took place at the couple’s childhood church, First Presbyterian Church. Ash Hoffman Jewelry made the rings for both the bride and groom. A reception followed that was held in Caroline’s parents’ backyard. The theme was simple elegance. The trees were strung with lights and nearly 400 family and friends gathered to celebrate the pair. The father of the bride made his famous barbecue sauce as a wedding favor for the guests.
