Since their mothers grew up on the same street in Loris, Mckenzie and Drew were destined to be friends. Throughout the years, the pair became best friends and eventually started dating during the summer before their senior year in high school.
After almost seven years together, the couple took a trip with many of their friends to the Timberland Ski Resort in Davis, West Virginia. After going back to the cabin for lunch, someone asked for a group photo. Everyone headed outside to take pictures in the snow and the couples started taking individual photos. Mckenzie and Drew stepped to the edge of the mountain to have their photo taken. When she went to walk away, he grabbed her and said, “no, come back. I have to ask you something.” Since he was always teasing her, she laughed it off and tried to walk away again. Drew pulled her back and got down on one knee and proposed, making Mckenzie the happiest girl in the world.
The pair had their engagement session with Stephanie Gore at the beautiful Litchfield Plantation in Pawleys Island. They had recently become dog parents, so their adorable five-month-old goldendoodle, Brody, joined them for their shoot. Mckenzie and Drew will tie the knot one month from today on April 28 at Upper Mills Plantation in Conway.
